Ningura Napurrula Ningura Napurrula was born at Watulka, Western Australia c. 1938. Her artworks focus on the travels of her female ancestors, the sacred sites that they passed, and the mythological significance of the bush tucker they collected. Ningura was one of the eight indigenous artists whose work is part of the Musee du Quai Branly in Paris, opened in 2006. Her painting was also used on an Australian stamp in 2002. In January 2007, Ningura Napurrula was included in the list of 50 Most Collectable Artists judged by the Australian Art Collector. For sale here is an acrylic painting on linen entitled My Country. Measuring 120 x 60 cms, it is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and coloured photo of Ningura Napurrula with the painting. The sale price is $2,500. |
