Abie Loy Kemarre was born at Mosquito Bore, Utopia, in about 1972. Her language group is Eastern Anmatyerre. Abie Loy started painting in 1994 under the guidance of her famous grandmother – Kathleen Petyarre – and her equally famous aunt – Gloria Petyarre.
Her awards include being a finalist in the prestigious 14th (2001) and 18th (2005) Telstra NATSIAA awards.
